Highest Quality Implant Dentistry – Dental Implants Done Right First Time !
According to D. Devi DDS.MS, the most important aspects in dental implant treatment planning are:
- Evaluation of patients medical history to assess risk factor
- Presence of adequate foundation bone
- How many teeth are missing, Is soft tissue missing as well
- Does patient need facial support with Implant restoration
- What kind of restoration is the most appropriate, conservative and affordable for the situation presented/li>
Implant Supported Crown:
If the patient is missing a single tooth or multiple teeth in same location or different locations, a dental implant supported crown is an ideal solution to replace the missing teeth. It is important to consider that if the missing teeth is left untreated, the adjacent natural teeth can move, which in the long term can affect patient’s bite and chewing efficiency and occasionally TMD.
Treatment: During the surgical phase, your dentist Dr. Devi will place an implant on the missing location and cover it with a healing cap. The implant will be allowed to integrate into your bone for the next couple of months. Dr. Devi will make a crown that matches the adjacent natural teeth and cement onto the implant post called an abutment.
Implant Supported Bridge
: Just like two teeth are used as a support for a tooth supported bridge, when you are missing multiple teeth, multiple implants are used to support an implant supported bridge.
: When the patient presents with no teeth in the upper or lower arch, prettau bridge can be used to replace the entire teeth in the arch. The number of implants used depends upon the factors like how many teeth are missing, bone density of the area where teeth are missing, proximity to anatomic structures like nerve canal, sinus floor, nasal floor etc.
This treatment option is known as ALL on 4 or Hybrid Denture. After completing this treatment option, patients walk out of the office with a new smile and complete set of teeth in the mouth.
Implant Supported Overdentures
(stud-attachment dentures) – Each implant in the jawbone holds a metal attachment that fits into another attachment on the denture. In most cases, the attachments on the implants are ball-shaped (“male” attachments), and they fit into sockets (“female” attachments) on the denture. The number of implants needed for this kind of restoration depends upon individual factors every patient presents and usually varies from 2-4.
